Bad Religion is playing three nights in San Diego at the House of Blues as part of their "30 Years" tour and Guttermouth has been added to the Sunday Night show along with The Adolescents, another iconic Orange County punk band.

Guttermouth is doing interviews supporting their current tour in Florida.
The sarcasm and aggression never tipped the band into pure negativity, though. Perhaps a degree of youthful innocence remains. Adkins actually did discover punk rock as a school boy. In eighth grade in 1978, he dug into the initial L.A. punk scene as it gathered steam - from Orange County to Hollywood.

On a Friday morning, Guttermouth front man Mark Adkins talks for more than an hour over the telephone from his home in San Clemente, Calif. about, politics, honesty, distance running, guitar down strokes, Hot Topic stores, paddle boarding, real estate values, self-imposed racial segregation and several other topics related or un-related to punk rock. Adkins is funny, knowledgeable and courteous, but is also supremely confident in his opinions. In a strange way, the Guttermouth front man is punk rock and anti-punk rock all at once.
